  We go often but the service is hit or miss. The lunch server Alan is amazing and always wonderful. The night crew is downright awful... i wish i could blame turnover but it's always the same bunch. It doesn't seem the owner is aware that the service is lackluster. The food is "good enough" but the pizza is why we keep going back.

  I ordered steak and cheese and it tasted like they made the steak out of liver. The bun for the steak and cheese sandwich was burnt. And they gave me more than enough french fries matter of fact there were so many french fries this restaurant could have rivaled Five Guys. The waitress we had didn't speak English at all. She was Asian. And when I asked if the restaurant has a lot of customers the management said they were always busy. Mind you we were the only customers at the time and it was Memorial Day weekend during lunch hours. We paid our bills after they remade the sandwich. And of course the Asian waitress came back and told me thank you without bringing in my change. I have a problem when a waiter or waitress assume that they are entitled to a tip. I told her I needed my change and then her smile turned into a frown. At any rate the change was $9. How could she assume that that's what she was entitled to? I will say on a bright note, parking was great!

  Growing up with an Italian grandmother, I was not impressed by the food at all here. The bread wasn't hot or even close to true Italian standard served with what I can only guess was "whipped" vegetable oil. The "salad" was chunks of iceberg lettuce with a single tomato wedge and some onions. The plates were hot but my food was not. I honestly would have gone to olive garden to have much better quality of food and more options than this, and I still don't consider olive garden true Italian food. Other than that I can say it was clean.

  Took our family (9) tonight for dinner. Had spaghetti, pizza, shrimp scampi, lasagna, salads and cheesecake! We all tasted each other's dinners and all were outstanding! The prices were so economical especially for a tourist venue! We love Sal's on Capitol Landing. It is so convenient to many hotels and to the historic district! Can hardly wait to come again! Oh, and great staff too! Thanks for a wonderful evening!
