  Everyone loves a good steak. Except my boyfriend who preferred the seafood.
  
  While we sat the rustic sophistication vibe from this restaurant was obvious. Farm tools, suits, and bow ties. The dim lighting and candles at each table really set the mood for our celebration and
  
  Our waiter was spectacular and reminded me of a mellow happy bill Cosby. He kept the food coming and our glasses filled.
  
  I ordered a sirloin and my boyfriend got the fried shrimp. Which came with a side and a salad. They start you out with hard rock pretzels and hard rock cheese which scraping is the only way to get it out. I felt like a total dunce from the stone ages with pretzel pieces going on me and all over the table. I'm kinda hoping I was doing something wrong for they're sake.
  
  Second up were small dinner rolls. No different then a golden corral, or store bought microwaved. Hard to even cut to get the butter in there.
  
  Next up was the salad. Whoop whoop iceberg lettuce nothing else screams cheap louder than that! I ordered ranch with it and ended up with a spicy ranch. Not hot spicy but more or less peppery potent. I had my boyfriend try it and he 100% agreed.
  
  I ordered my steak medium and it came back spot on, but just a tad rough. My boyfriends shrimp was good but tasted like it could have been from anywhere.
  
  My suggestion is if you have the spare money and want steak this is a great place to stop, but there are other options around.

  We were visiting Williamsburg and my brother from Richmond drove down to visit for the evening. We came here and we treated wonderfully! Our server joked with us all the while being very professional. The food was very tasty also. Thank you for helping to make it a very enjoyable evening.

  Excellent place!! The atmosphere isn't outdated at all as some commented ....the restaurant is named ABERDEEN BARN, hence the rustic atmosphere. The steaks are cooked to perfection. The service is beyond exceptional. The lighting is dim, but that only adds to the place. If you want to dine somewhere that's of high quality, you won't be disappointed. It's a different restaurant that may seem odd to some, but to those of us that prefer uniqueness, it's perfect.
